I would like to request your permission to spread info on your
INCREDIBLE website through our grassroots movement for Senator
Obama. Sen Obama has nothing to do with this but a bunch of
veterans do. I have already began a viral movement with a link to
your website and made the link a part of my emails that go out
daily. I appreciate your website as well as your ermission.

My son, Adam, just sent me the link to you website and McCain's
military record. I am appalled, but not in the least surprised,
by his self-centered, narcissistic, revisionist approach his
days as a POW.
I hope that you
will find a way to get this report to Senator Joe Biden, as I am
sure he would find the contents of great interest. I shall
personally try to send it to him, but if it comes directly from
you, I feel it will have a much better chance of actually
reaching the Senator.
As the widow of a
100% service-connected disabled veteran who served his country
honorably, John McCain makes my skin crawl - we must try to
ensure that he never becomes President of this great country of
ours.

I wanted to re-send a
message concerning Senator McCain's past actions. I am sending
this information and hoping that it will find an open ear
and possible shed some public light on Senator McCain's
mistreatment of his employees and Vietnam Veteran.
This information was told to me first hand from the Mr. Robert
Perlin of Cottonwood, Arizona. Mr. Perlin is a Vietnam
Veteran and former employee of the Senator. While employed as a
greenskeeper by the Senator, he often times expressed a desire for
an additional hand for help while working long tedious hours, a
request that fell on deft ears. Finally, when Mr. Perlin injured
his back while working on the Senetor's Arizona estate he was
fired from his position and left to seek medical attention from
the Veteran Hospital in Phoenix (almost a 2 hour drive).
Unemployed and physically unable seek employment elsewhere, Mr.
Perlin's wife was forced to work two jobs to make ends meet
and prevent foreclosure, while her husband was left disabled and
in a state of depression.
I have to ask what type of leadership, principles and valor could
Senator McCain possibly bring as President, when he could so
easily "LEAVE A FALLEN MAN AND VIETNAM VETERAN DOWN!!" It leaves
me to question the mans credibility as a leader and a military
man. I hope that this message will be used to shed light on
Senator McCain.

MY UNCLE DIDN'T SHARE MUCH WITH HIS NEPHEWS AND NIECES ABOUT HIS

WATCHING A MCCAIN AD WITH MY MOTHER (MY UNCLE WAS HER BROTHER) AND
SHE TURNED OFF THE TV. I ASKED HER WHY SHE DID THAT. SHE
SAID "IF MY BROTHER WERE ALIVE TODAY, HE WOULDN'T VOTE FOR JOHN

EXCEPT TO SAY HE GOT PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT. I PRESSED HER FOR
MORE INFORMATION AND SHE REPEATED WHAT SHE SAID BEFORE.

The issue of McCain's behavior while in captivity CANNOT be
evaluated by public, press or, anyone else. ALL POW debriefing
documents were classified at the insistence of Senator McCain. So,
those who rush to support McCain are doing so out of a sense of
loyalty rather than a position of knowledge. I include those
former POW's who support McCain, in my evaluation. After all, it
is NOT possible for any of those men to KNOW what McCain did or
did not say when he was interrogated. In addition, information
contained on the Vietnam Veterans against McCain web site contains
quite a bit more than simple accusations and deserves to be read.
Despite the media's long held position, that McCain is the
military's guy, the fact remains that Senator McCain is despised
by thousands of veterans who witnessed his despicable behavior
while a member of the POW/MIA Committee. Readers of this post are
encouraged to read Bill Hendon's AN
ENORMOUS CRIME before they rush to
defend McCain. The issue of POW/MIA's has been so twisted because
of political fear, it is impossible to get an honest answer from
either the government or the military. Unfortunately for those,
like McCain and Kerry, there is undeniable, historical evidence
which pretty much establishes the willingness to "sacrifice the
few" for the benefit of the country.
Towards the end of WWll, the Soviets overran hundreds of German
POW/concentration camps, seizing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of allied
POW's. These men were shipped to the gulag system...NEVER TO BE
HEARD FROM AGAIN. This is not a matter of conjecture. The US
military and US intelligence services were well aware of what was
happening and did nothing to stop it. I don't deny that the
situation was very dangerous as the Soviets were willing to keep
fighting. We (the US) were not.
In 1992, in open session of the Senate POW/MIA hearings, Col.
Philip Corso admitted under oath that he was the man who advised
Eisenhower to adopt the policy of declaring all the lost POW's
dead (and we are talking about TENS OF THOUSANDS of AMERICAN
SERVICEMEN). Col. Corso stated that the "country was 'war weary'
and would not support a war against the Soviet Union in order to
recover our men." Col. Corso also testified on POW's lost and
never returned by the North Koreans as well.
Many who believe the notion that ALL living POW's were returned
during Operation Homecoming point to the fact that, after ALL
THESE YEARS not a single POW has ever been released (or escaped)
despite reward offers in the millions of dollars. Foolish people
think that it would be impossible to hide POW's after Vietnam
"opened up." A belief born of ignorance. If the Soviets could hide
hundreds of thousands of POW's, preventing even a single escape,
surely the vast jungles of South East Asia could hide a few
hundred POW's forever. The FACT is, the United States has a long
tradition of abandoning POW's. For the most part, the country
couldn't care less. The population makes all the sympathetic
noises, and greedily accepts the most unlikely and outrageously
absurd explanations put forth by our leaders.
Reagan called it the "highest national priority" and did NOTHING.
We've ALL DONE NOTHING and it makes me want to puke. If McCain is
really such a genuine "Hero" let him release ALL his military
records, including his debriefing documents. In fact, all POW
debriefing documents should be released, just as ALL government
documents relating to the POW/MIA's. There's a reason why
that's never going to happen and it
has NOTHING
to do with privacy. It has to do with deception, lies and
dishonor.

I work for the VA taking care of the honorable men and women who
have served and currently serve our country. I do this with great
honor. McCain
is absolutely horrible! How can he turn his back on the very
people he was
trained to protect. No man left behind? Not in McCain's opinion.
He obviously
does whatever is necessary to promote his own agenda. I have been
following the
campaign of Dr. Ron Paul. He is a former flight surgeon in the US
Air Force. He has more support from active military members then
any other candidate and for good reason, he's been there. He
understand what is jeopardized by sending our people to war. He
doesn't take that lightly. He wants to provide all veterans with
more, which you are entitled to. You have all been willing to put
your lives on the line for citizens that you don't even know.
There could be NOTHING more HONORABLE! It makes me cry. I respect
you all and would ask that you consider voting for Ron Paul in the
2008 Presidential election. Some of you may not have even heard of
him, because the mainstream media is corporately controlled and he
is virtually "blacked out" of tv airtime that would give him more
exposure. I can tell you that he would fight for your rights, your
benefits, your well-being and he will ALWAYS uphold The
Constitution! He supports the immediate withdraw of troops from
Iraq. He also does not support invading Iran. How many more lives
do we need to lose? Please google, RonPaul2008.com. With the
utmost respect for all veterans.

The SOB McCain did not do any favors for 2 million + Korea Defense
Veterans with his lack of support for us in our bid for the Korea

One of his quotes went something like this "That service (Korea

So far I am unable to locate that one quote, seems the one page

says that it is there), how convenient for the SOB McCain!!

To me John Mc Cain is a lying, phony, opportunist. A Democrat in

As far as Mc Cain's war record, I have many family members that

Ref: CA Republican Debate--McCain untruthful
McCain considered benchmarks in January 2007 posted at 10:55 pm on
January 30, 2008 by Bryan Send to a Friend | printer-friendly
During the Reagan Library debate, Sen. John McCain spent several
minutes attacking Gov. Mitt Romney for allegedly supporting
timetables and benchmarks on progress in Iraq. I’ve already taken
that attack apart here and Jay has the original GMA clip here. But
the facts are not only inconvenient to McCain on what Romney said.
They’re inconvenient on what McCain himself said. He considered
supporting timetables himself in January 2007. The Arizona Star
has the story. Read it and weep, John McCain.
http://www.azstarnet.com/sn/byauthor/166271
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., one of the most stalwart supporters of
the war in Iraq, said Thursday that he might propose that the
Iraqi government meet certain benchmarks for the United States to
continue its engagement. Fellow senators and independent political
scientists said McCain’s thinking
reflected growing concerns within the Republican Party about the
course of the war, and also might mark a turning point for the
likely 2008 presidential contender, whose previous unconditional
backing of the war may have hurt his prospects.
McCain said Thursday that he hadn’t yet decided on precise
benchmarks. “They’d have to be specific, and they (Iraqi
government officials) would have to meet them,” he said.
Asked what penalty would be imposed if Iraq failed to meet his
benchmarks, he said: “I think everybody knows the consequences.
Haven’t met the benchmarks? Obviously, then, we’re not able to
complete the mission. Then you have to examine your options.”
That suggests withdrawal. The story goes on to say:
McCain in no way is withdrawing his backing for the war or
President Bush’s plan to add 21,500 troops. It was unclear what
consequences or timetables McCain would spell out, or whether he
believes that Congress has the authority to enforce them.
Still, several Senate Democrats who oppose the troop buildup and
also may seek the presidency said they were struck by McCain’s
comments. “We Catholics call that an epiphany,” said Senate
Foreign Relations Chairman Joseph Biden, D-Del., who is sponsoring
the main Democratic resolution opposing the troop buildup. Sen.
Barack Obama, D-Ill., said: “I called for that . . . several weeks
ago. I’m glad that John McCain agrees with me.”
So other than being for the surge earlier than Romney, who
supported it himself the day it was announced, McCain’s position
on timetables is less clear but certainly not obviously stronger
than Romney’s. How will Mr. Straight Talk spin. ut of this
one?

Following his 1978 retirement from the US Air Force as a
Lieutenant
General and USAF Inspector General, General Flynn
and I became good friends. We spent many pleasant evenings
together in San Antonio. He was the most honest, loving and
memorable man I have ever met. He was reluctant to speak of his
POW days but when he did he was like a man possessed, like the
awful memories ruled him.
As you may recall, Flynn
was the senior POW in Hanoi. It was he who brought up the subject
of John McCain, over and over and over. He despised him more than
he disliked even Jane Fonda. Why? He insisted McCain was a
traitor who
worked against the other POWs.
Until very near the end
of their captivity, POWs were kept in solitary confinement and
forbidden to attempt contact with each other. Of course they
tried. And according to Flynn, McCain would squeal on the others
for personal favors.
And each time another POW got in trouble, the guards would punish
Flynn as well, simply because he was the senior man. He insisted
he endured awesome physical punishment
because of McCain.
For a man as loving and as forgiving as was Flynn, who died in
1997, to hate someone as thoroughly as he hated McCain, we must
assume the presidential candidate was most treasonous and
treacherous. No wonder McCain wants his military records
classified. The nation lost a wonderful man and warrior when
General John Flynn bailed out. Check out
his bio.
He was a giant among fliers: P-51s in World War II, F-80s in Korea
and F-105s in Vietnam. Those who knew him loved him dearly because
rank and position meant nothing to him. He judged you on merit and
intelligence, not grade. After retirement from the Air Force, he
was offered the chairmanship of Veterans Affairs. He asked my
advice. I strongly recommended that he take the job, arguing that
even with physical limitations brought on by his time in Hanoi, he
could better serve the veterans than any ten other people.
Unfortunately for us, he turned the job down. Maybe he was right.
He knew what was going on inside his body and head. We all miss
him very much. It is criminal on our
part, those of us who know the truth, not to try and spread it.

If illegal lovin Kennedy is supporting him that is

morals, no alliegiance to America and would help usher in millions
of illegals as well as the NAU. He must be stopped. This country
must have better candidates than what we have seen so far. Don't
let the elites and MSM choose who you vote for. Use the write-in
option and put somebody who is for "we the people" not "we the
big-businesses" or "we the elites". Few if any within the current
administration are doing anything about the approximately 200K
veterans that are on the street on a daily basis. Mcstain won't do
anything either. Wake up America the current lot of candidates are
not for America, they support a one world order.

GREAT job, people!
A financial contribution will follow. I supported you against John
F-ing Kerry also. Perhaps a 'fact check' might be in order. My
understanding is that the 1st aircraft he wrecked was not a
"jet", but an A-1 Spad. I could be mistaken, but I don't believe
they were using jets in that stage of the Training Command in
those days.
Also, perhaps you cover it someplace else in your pages, but as a
career Naval Officer, I don't think enough is made of the fact
that McCain took the place of a more capable person, 1st at
Annapolis, where he obviously did not take 'the program'
seriously. And THEN being sent to Flight Training, when
historically, only the TOP 10% of 'aviation qualified' individuals
were accepted. Out of 898 Classmates, 894 were MORE qualified than
him, having graduated 5th from the BOTTOM of his class.

- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEHAS SENATOR
JOHN McCAIN BETRAYED OUR VETERANS?
On Monday January 7th
2008, President George W. Bush signed HR 2640 into law. The bill
is now referenced as the "NICS Improvement Amendments Act of
2007." Pro 2nd amendment grass roots gun organizations have
unanimously agreed that HR 2640 should be re titled "The VETERANS
DISARMAMENT ACT" as it requires the release of private medical
records of veterans and citizens nationwide. If found "mentally
incompetent", our veterans will lose their right to keep and bear
arms, with little or no legal recourse to reinstate this
inalienable constitutional right.
Once on a "NICS no gun
list" a veteran will need to hire an attorney and cover all
expenses out of pocket to be removed from the list. No attorney is
provided by the government which is most certainly a right
provided by the Supreme Court in any criminal case. Once again we
are guilty before being proven innocent. If any Veteran has sought
treatment for PTSD, and or, are on medication for same… They may
automatically be denied this most basic right. Is this what they
risked their lives for? Should we make our men and women returning
home from the Middle East choose between mental help and their 2nd
amendment right? I think not. This is not only unconscionable and
dangerous, this is UN-AMERICAN!*Did Senator John McCain do
anything to stop this assault on the 2nd amendment rights of
veterans? No. He did nothing to bring this to the attention of the
public, and did not publicly stand against HR 2640 as it was being
considered, and sent to the White House by secret voice vote via
the senate judiciary committee. *Did he vote for or against HR
2640 with bill sponsor and rabid gun grabber Carolyn McCarthy, and
in league with Ted Kennedy, Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer et al?
That is what we want to know. If he did indeed vote against the
Bill, why isn't he using his extensive profile as a presidential
frontrunner to alert veterans and the American people at large?
Our calls to the McCain campaign as of the time of this press
release have gone unanswered. We ask you, the media, veteran's
groups, and you the American public… To get an answer from Senator
McCain on why he did not stand up for veterans and against HR
2640. In fact, we suggest that EVERY candidate should pass this
LITMUS TEST: Do you support HR 2640, or do you support liberty?
The NRA has also sold out gun owners, Civil Libertarians, and
veterans by
working in concert with congress to ram through this draconian gun
bill in the dead
of night.
Please use whatever
ability you have available to get Sen. McCain on the
record about where he stands on the "Veteran's Disarmament Act" If
he truly does
support the second amendment and veteran's rights, he will work
with us to REPEAL HR 2640 NOW! For further information, or

As a retires USAF Major with extensive flight time on the F-4
Phantom II C/D/E and G Wild Weasel I find McCain's military record
as irrelevent to his ability to be the President. While a POW he
received promotions on time without having to compete.
To become a Captain in
the Navy with only 22 years is only because of his POW status. I
admire all POW's as survivors not as heros. The heros are the ones
who tried to rescue them, not the ones who were shot down. To be
shot down it was either bad luck or the enemy was a better
warrior. Being shot down is not a badge of achievement.
Surviving as a POW in bad
conditions is to be admired and respected but not a hero. The hero
is the one who survived and saved others lives and destroyed the
enemy. A POW hero is one who escaped and that resulted in the
rescue of other POWs.
I do not find him
qualified in any way to lead our country. I find him a weak
military leader with little backbone to really standup for our
nation. He tried to sell us out on the illegals coming through our
borders ... how can he possible stand up to armed aggressors. He
failed to standup against unarmed farm workers. Nope not
qualified, a definate Washingtom insider and politicial who will
do whatever he needs to get a pat on the back. As a military
fighter guy, a pat on the back is more important than any amount
of money. For a pat on his back he will sell us out. A hero ...
nope. A survivor ... yup. A president ... not hardly.

In the Veteran community there have been many rumors flying around
about John McCain’s loyalty under pressure and since I wasn’t
there I cannot speak directly to their validity.
What I can speak to are two items;
The first item is Sen. McCain’s astonishing complete and total
disregard for advocating or protecting the rights and benefits for
Arizona Veterans. John McCain is the senior Senator from Arizona
and Arizona has the very repulsive position of 50th when it comes
to state provided benefits for Veterans. Every state in the Union
treats their Veterans with more respect than Arizona treats its
615,000 Veterans. Sen. McCain wants to constantly use his status
as a POW
and Veteran as a stepping stone to the White House and yet the
state he
represents completely ignores and disrespects their Veterans. If
you cannot see the connection between John McCain the Veteran and
Arizona being the worst state regarding state Veterans’ benefits
then you need to cease claiming YOU support us Veterans.
Anything and I mean anything you do, anything that you own and the
mere fact you live in the United States of American can and always
will be directly attributed to the sacrifices made by the
Veterans! This country was started by the sacrifices Veterans made
and will always make. To become a Veteran is one of the most
dangerous and arduous jobs a citizen will perform, if being a
Veteran was so simple we would all be Veterans. We Veterans are
the only ones that will perform the duties no one else will, that
is why there are only 23,532+/- living Veterans or less than 8% of
the total US population.
For too long an Attitude of Gratitude
towards Veterans has been grossly missing in the state of Arizona
and yet McCain wants his Vet status to make a difference for him.
The other item is McCain’s failure to uphold the US Constitution
and his failure to comply with the oath he and I both took to
protect that Constitution. I took the same oath as John McCain and
I NEVER rescinded my oath obviously John McCain did. The
sovereignty of a nation is defined in the security of the borders.
To quote one of the greatest former Presidents Ronald Reagan "The
simple truth is that we've lost control of our own borders, and no
nation can do that and survive. We ignore America's lost
sovereignty at our peril."
We Veterans did not serve and sacrifice and swear to “……..support
and defend the Constitution of the United States against all
enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and
allegiance to the same;” to have a Senator open the borders and
give law-breakers amnesty.

Attached is a letter I sent to writer Debra Saunders...I thought
you would find it useful as I noticed this info missing from your
article about McCain's flight skills.
Dear Ms Saunders,
The worst thing about McCain is his stubbornness and inability to
learn from his mistakes. I had the opportunity to discuss McCain in a Bar and found
myself in a conversation with a squadron mate of his from Viet Nam. He felt
McCain was arrogant and stubborn. He told me McCain got shot down
in Nam because he made a stupid rookie mistake. After making a bomb run on
his target and missing, he set up for a second attempt. However,
he broke a basic rule of Air War. You
never make a second run from the same IP or initial
point. McCain did this and
of course the VC were ready and waiting for him and he was brought
down. ...you
know the rest of the story. Now this info can be verified by questioning some of his old
squadron mates.
If true, it shows a man that refuses to learn and is basically
headstrong and un-teachable. The worst kind of pilot and the worst type to have as
president.

Rod and half the world was copied in when we bantered with former PoW's about McCain we started working against his 2008 campaign
years ago and if it looks like he has a snow balls chance in hell of
making the trip many will light their fires under him once again.
Kerry/McCain - same enemy --- same fight. They BETRAYED our men
who still serve ( dead un-repatriated or alive ) - and that will never
be
forgotten.

Why do I get the feeling that this group, are a bunch of swift
boaters that abandoned ship? Surely you must understand the we trade
with Japan, Germany, even North Korea; So what is your point? I guess
being involved in losing, is some thing petty people can never get
over. Trust me when I say, there are a lot of cowards out there; who
use half truths an innuendo. Please tell me you are not one of those
groups that think G.W. Bush has it right. I served from 1972 till
1997, when I was injured in a training accident. So I do know of what
I speak; and I refuse to let cowards hide behind service in Viet Nam
to try and serve a coward like Bush.

You do it again. I feel sorry
for not making an effort campaign to stop John McCain to go this far.
When I was in NY last time and discuss with you, we thought McCain
would be off the race soon.
Your claims are valid. I send you a link about Vietnamese site to
describe how he got better treatment in the cell. Nguyen Tuan, a very
well known writer in the North Vietnam who had a deep interview with
him (McCain) while he was in a hospital. Although it was some kind of
propaganda and communist humiliation to the POW, in the writing,
McCain seemed not to be a prison at all. He had cigarettes. He had all
the medicine. He was even allowed to cry in the audio tape to send to
his wife. It was very embarrassing. McCain was spoiled while his
fellow Americans were tortured. You can send this link to the
newspaper. I hope the newspaper will ask someone (or me) to translate
it.
I send you some page about that story and the site where McCain was
captured. The Vietnamese Communist displays an image of a kneel-down
pilot and noted that is John McCain. It is so embarrassing and
humiliating to the US.
